How do we know that Christ's advocacy for us is effective?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's advocacy is effective because He is righteous and always pleads for our justification and sanctification.

The efficacy of Christ’s advocacy is grounded in His holiness and righteousness. According to 1 John 2:1, He is described as 'Jesus Christ the righteous', which means He has no sin of His own that would hinder His ability to plead for us. His perfect life and sacrificial death qualify Him to stand in our defense, making intercessions that align perfectly with God's will. Additionally, Romans 8:34 declares that Christ is at the right hand of God, making intercession for us, affirming that He prays for our perseverance and eternal glory. It is through His righteous standing before the Father that we receive assurance of salvation.
