How do we know that Christ's advocacy is effective?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's advocacy is effective because he presents his own suffering and righteousness as the basis for our justification.

The effectiveness of Christ's advocacy lies in his ability to present his own meritorious sufferings before God. The charge brought against us by the accuser cannot be denied, but Jesus stands as our surety, having endured the penalty that we deserved. This legal representation is grounded in justice and mercy, allowing the Father to declare us righteous. Because Jesus is both fully God and fully man, he possesses the unique capacity to address divine justice while offering grace. Therefore, his advocacy is not just hopeful—it is certain, because it is built on the firm foundation of his finished work on the cross.
