How do we know that Christ's atonement is sufficient for our salvation?

Answered in 4 sources

Christ's atonement is perfect and sufficient because He is the unblemished Lamb who bore the full weight of God's wrath on our behalf.

The sufficiency of Christ's atonement is rooted in His identity as the Lamb of God, described in Exodus 12 as without blemish. This perfection makes Him uniquely qualified to bear the weight of our sins. Romans 5:9 tells us, 'Since therefore we have now been justified by His blood, much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God.' The Scriptures emphasize that Christ’s sacrifice not only satisfies God’s justice but also brings reconciliation between God and man. His resurrection further assures us of the efficacy of His atonement, as it demonstrates His victory over sin and death. Believers can trust that His sacrifice fully meets all requirements for salvation.
