How do we know that Christ’s blood justifies us?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible affirms that we are justified by Christ's blood, as expressed in Romans 5:9.

The concept of justification by Christ's blood is central to the understanding of salvation in Reformed theology. Romans 5:9 states, 'Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.' This means that the sacrifice of Jesus, symbolized by His blood, serves as the atoning payment for our sins. His blood signifies a complete satisfaction of God’s justice, allowing believers to stand before Him justified. The necessity of blood in atonement is established throughout Scripture, and Christ's blood uniquely accomplishes what the sacrifices of the Old Testament could only foreshadow. Therefore, it is through faith in His shed blood that we are assured of our justification and peace with God.
