How do we know that Christ's humanity is significant?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's humanity is significant because He identified with us as our substitute, enabling our redemption.

The significance of Christ’s humanity is foundational to the gospel. Hebrews 2:14-16 states that He took on flesh and blood so that He could be our representative, our substitute. By becoming a man, Christ was able to live the perfect life that we failed to live and bear the penalty we deserved for our sins. This dual nature—fully God and fully man—means that He could fully satisfy God's holy justice while providing a perfect example for humanity. His incarnation was necessary for our salvation as only a sinless man could serve as an adequate sacrifice. Thus, His humanity is not just an attribute but the means by which He accomplished redemption.
