How do we know that Christ's message is effective?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's message is effective when it is preached faithfully, producing genuine responses of faith and repentance in believers.

The effectiveness of Christ's message is rooted in its divine authority and the work of the Holy Spirit. When the Gospel is preached, as seen in 2 Corinthians 2, it spreads the 'savor of knowledge' of Christ, reaching those whom God has chosen to reveal Himself to. The response to this message varies; for some, it leads to life and rejoicing, while for others, it results in rejection and spiritual demise. It is not the preacher's ability to evoke emotions that matters, but the faithful proclamation of Christ Himself. The Lord promised that His Word would not return void, and He has a people who will respond positively to the Gospel when it is preached effectively. Thus, the evidence of its effectiveness lies in the transformed lives of believers and their heartfelt engagement with the truth.
