How do we know that Christ's promises are reliable?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's promises are reliable because His nature is immutable; He cannot and does not change.

We can trust Christ’s promises because He is immutable, meaning He does not change in His essence, attributes, or character. Hebrews 13:8 asserts this truth about our Savior, and because He is perfect, He does not become better or worse—He is eternally trustworthy. The reliability of Christ's promises stems from His eternal nature; His purposes, once ordained, are steadfast and will come to pass. As believers, understanding His unchanging character should encourage us to claim His promises and find our hope and security in Him, regardless of life's changes.
