How do we know that Christ's redemption is for the elect?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's redemptive work is described as effectual for the elect, as articulated in John 6:37.

The doctrine of election asserts that God has chosen certain individuals to be saved, and Scripture supports this by affirming that Christ's atonement is specifically intended for the elect. In John 6:37, Jesus states, 'All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will never drive away.' This reinforces the idea that those chosen by God will inevitably come to faith in Christ, whose sacrifice on the cross was intended to secure their salvation, highlighting the effectiveness and particularity of His redemptive work for the elect.
