How do we know that Christ's righteousness applies to us?

Answered in 1 source

We know Christ's righteousness applies to us through faith, as He is our righteousness and establishes our standing before God.

Christ's righteousness is imputed to those who believe in Him, as He is called 'Jehovah Sidkenu,' meaning 'The Lord our Righteousness' (Jeremiah 23:6). Through His perfect obedience and sacrificial death, believers are seen as righteous in the eyes of God. The assurance of this imputed righteousness comes through faith in Christ alone, not through our own works but through the grace that God has bestowed upon us. The Scriptures teach that we are clothed in His righteousness and receive life because of Him, fulfilling the promise that there is 'no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus' (Romans 8:1).
