How do we know that Christ's righteousness makes our hearts pure?

Answered in 1 source

We know through scripture that Christ's righteousness is credited to us through faith, thus purifying our hearts (Acts 15:9).

The purity of our hearts is fundamentally linked to our faith in Jesus Christ. Acts 15:9 indicates that God purifies the hearts of believers by faith. This means that when we trust in Christ, His righteousness is imputed to us, allowing us to stand before God as blameless. The psalmist captures this truth in Psalm 24, describing the one who can stand before God as possessing 'clean hands and a pure heart.' Ultimately, it is not through our own works or efforts that we achieve purity but through faith in Christ, who provides us with His righteousness. Our journey towards holiness and purity is a continual reliance on Him and His saving grace.
