How do we know that Christ's sacrifice has purged our sins?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrifice is confirmed in Scripture as the sole means by which our sins are purged (Hebrews 1:3, Isaiah 6:7).

The assurance of our sins being purged rests solely on the finished work of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:3 states that 'when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.' This indicates that the cleansing of sin is complete and accepted by God. Additionally, in Isaiah 6:7, we see God instructing the seraphim to cleanse Isaiah by touching his lips with a coal, symbolizing the blood of Christ which also purifies. Through His sacrifice, Jesus has effectively removed the penalty of sin for His people, ensuring that there is no condemnation for those who are in Him.
