How do we know that Christ's sacrifice is better than the old covenant sacrifices?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrifice is superior because it is perfect, effectual, and provides eternal redemption, unlike the repetitive animal sacrifices.

The superiority of Christ's sacrifice is highlighted in Hebrews as it decisively fulfills the requirements of the old covenant which could not offer true atonement. While the Levitical priests continually made sacrifices, these were mere types and shadows that could not take away sin. In contrast, Christ's once-for-all sacrifice brings true and lasting redemption. It is through His blood that we obtain forgiveness, which secures our relationship with God, as He is the fulfillment of the promise foretold by the prophets.
