How do we know that Christ's sacrifice is effective for our purification?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrifice is effective because it fulfills the requirements of the law and provides lasting purification from sin.

The effectiveness of Christ's sacrifice for our purification is rooted in His sinless nature and the fulfillment of the requirements set forth in the Old Testament law, such as the ritual of the red heifer. Hebrews 9:13-14 indicates that while the blood of bulls, goats, and the ashes of a heifer can temporarily purify, it is the blood of Christ that truly sanctifies and purifies our conscience. The perfect sacrifice of Christ, who was fully God and fully man, establishes a new covenant where our sin is not only covered but completely removed. Thus, we have the assurance that Christ's blood is powerful enough to cleanse us entirely, both now and for eternity.
