How do we know that Christ's sacrifice is sufficient for our atonement?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrifice is sufficient because it was an infinite sacrifice that satisfied God's infinite holiness, allowing for our redemption.

Christ's offering of Himself on the cross was uniquely effective because it addressed the infinite nature of sin, which is against an infinite God. According to Isaiah 53 and reinforced by passages in Hebrews, the sinless Christ bore our sins, making an offering for sin that satisfied divine justice. This infinite sacrifice allows mercy to flow to the elect, ensuring that those whom Christ died for are fully atoned for. As Romans 8:32 suggests, if God did not spare His own Son, how can we doubt the efficacy of His sacrifice for our sins?
