How do we know that Christ's sacrifice is superior to the old covenant sacrifices?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrifice is superior because it is complete and perfect, achieving what the old covenant sacrifices could not.

The superiority of Christ's sacrifice over the old covenant sacrifices is established in Hebrews, where the apostle explains that the sacrifices of the Levitical priests could not make the worshippers perfect in conscience (Hebrews 9:9). These sacrifices were merely types and shadows pointing toward the ultimate sacrifice of Christ, which was both sufficient and effective. Jesus, as the ultimate High Priest, entered the true holy place once for all with His own blood, achieving eternal redemption (Hebrews 9:12). Unlike the repeated sacrifices of the old covenant, which were necessary every year, Christ's sacrifice was made once and for all, sealing the eternal covenant and providing full access to God for all who believe.
