How do we know that Christ’s sacrifice leads to forgiveness?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrificial death is the foundation for our pardon, fully demonstrating God's love and readiness to forgive sinners.

The foundation of our forgiveness rests firmly upon the obedience and death of Jesus Christ, which opened the way for God's grace to be manifested without compromising His holiness. The cross of Christ is a vivid display of God's hatred for sin as well as His willingness to extend mercy to the repentant sinner. Each drop of Christ's blood proclaims the fullness of God's grace and forgiveness, allowing even the most vile sinner to return to Him. It is through faith in this redemptive act that we can receive the assurance of pardon and be embraced by sovereign love.
