How do we know that Christ's sacrifice was sufficient for sin?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's sacrifice was sufficient because He bore all sin and fully satisfied divine justice by His one-time offering (Hebrews 9:26).

The sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice is established by the fact that He, as the God-man, bore our sins in His own body. Hebrews 9:26 highlights that He has appeared once to put away sin, which reinforces the notion that no further sacrifices are necessary. The greatness of His offering is rooted in His infinite merit, which exceeded all previous sacrifices. This teaches believers that in Christ, not only is guilt removed, but the consequences and dominion of sin are also dealt with. His sacrifice cleanses us completely, allowing us to stand justified before God, free from condemnation.
