How do we know that Christ's work is sufficient for salvation?

Answered in 21 sources

Christ’s work is sufficient because He fulfilled the law perfectly and became our substitute, offering Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin (Colossians 1:22).

The sufficiency of Christ's work is anchored in His perfect fulfillment of the law and His role as the substitute for sinners. In Colossians 1:22, it is stated that Christ has reconciled us to God through His physical body, being presented holy and blameless before Him. This indicates that through Christ, our sins are not only covered, but we are made righteous in God's sight. Furthermore, His resurrection serves as a divine testimony that His sacrifice was accepted. God, having raised Him from the dead, confirms that justice was satisfied, and thus His work is wholly sufficient for salvation.
