How do we know that Christ should be preeminent in our lives?

The call for Christ's preeminence stems from His role as the author of our faith and the one who sustains and perfects it (Hebrews 12:2). As Christians, we are reminded that everything good found in us originates from Him; from our faith to our salvation, we owe it all to Christ (1 Corinthians 1:30-31). His preeminence is not just a doctrinal statement but should be a functional reality where all our spiritual pursuits are centered around Him. Not only is He the source, but He also sustains the believer through His continued work and intercession, ensuring that our efforts are fruitful in their regard (John 15:5). Thus, recognizing Christ as preeminent cultivates a heart attitude of dependence and gratitude.
