How do we know that Christ submitted to God?

Answered in 1 source

Christ demonstrated submission to God through His willingness to become flesh and fulfill the redemptive plan set forth by the Father.

Christ's submission to God is clearly illustrated throughout Scripture, most notably in His willingness to take on human form and serve as the mediator between God and man. In John 6:38, Jesus states, 'For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.' This encapsulates His purpose on earth—to accomplish the work ordained by the Father. Furthermore, in His moments of anguish before the crucifixion, He submitted to the Father’s will, praying, 'Not my will, but thine, be done' (Luke 22:42). This ultimate act of submission reveals both His authority as the Son and His obedience as the Servant of the Lord.
