How do we know that Christ takes away our reproach?

Answered in 1 source

Christ takes away our reproach by bearing our sins and guilt upon Himself.

The removal of reproach comes through the work of Jesus Christ, who took upon Himself the sins of His people. As explained in the sermon, Elizabeth conveys her joy in recognizing that the Lord has dealt with her to take away her reproach among men (Luke 1:25). This reflects the deeper spiritual truth that all humans bear reproach due to sin. Christ's redemptive work on the cross is where He bore our shame and guilt, making it possible for believers to be declared righteous before God. His sacrifice addressed the sin issue, thus removing our guilt and shame, eternally securing our standing in Him.
