How do we know that Christ will present us faultless before God?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture assures us that Christ will present His people faultless to God, as seen in Ephesians 5:27.

The assurance of Christ presenting believers as faultless before God is grounded in His redemptive work and the promises of Scripture. Ephesians 5:27 states that Christ will present the church to Himself as a glorious church, 'not having spot or wrinkle.' This indicates that the presentation of believers is both a future event and an ongoing process. While we currently struggle with sin and imperfection, we are being sanctified and will ultimately be presented holy and blameless at the final judgment.

Moreover, Colossians 1:22 confirms that we will be presented as 'holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight.' This underscores that our justification and sanctification work together in the process of salvation. The work that Christ began in us will be completed, ensuring that we are faultless on that glorious day. Thus, we can confidently look forward to Christ's return and our presentation to God, knowing it is rooted in His faithfulness.
