How do we know that Christians are eternally secure?

Answered in 1 source

Christians are eternally secure because their salvation is based on God's sovereign grace and the finished work of Christ (Hebrews 4:3).

The doctrine of eternal security is deeply rooted in the sovereignty of God and the completeness of Christ's atonement. Hebrews 4:3 states, 'For we which have believed do enter into rest.' This signifies that our faith is a gift from God, and our beliefs do not make us secure; rather, it is God's decree that assures us of our eternal security. Furthermore, Scripture informs us that Jesus declared His sheep would never perish and that no one can snatch them from His hand (John 10:28-29). Our assurance rests in the unchangeable character of God who initiated salvation, secured it through Christ's sacrifice, and preserves it for eternity.
