How do we know that Christians are loved by God?

Answered in 1 source

Christians are assured of God's love through His everlasting promises and the sacrificial love demonstrated by Christ.

God's love for His people is affirmed in numerous scriptures, including Jeremiah 31:3, where He states, 'I have loved you with an everlasting love.' This love is not only eternal but also sacrificial, as seen in Ephesians 5:25, which instructs husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her. The depth of God's love is highlighted when He vows that those who persecute His people will ultimately acknowledge His love for them, reinforcing that true Christian identity is intertwined with divine love and acceptance. Therefore, the assurance of God’s love is foundational for believers, deepening their trust and commitment to Him.
