How do we know that elected believers are chosen for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's own assurance in John 6:37 affirms that all whom the Father has given Him will come to Him.

The doctrine of election asserts that believers are chosen by God for salvation from before the foundation of the world, as stated in Ephesians 1:4. This choosing is not based on any merit or foreseen faith. Romans 11:5-6 refers to the 'election of grace,' demonstrating that God's choice is based entirely on His grace and purpose. Evidence of this election is seen in the faith and repentance that follows, confirming that all whom the Father has chosen will come to faith in Christ. Moreover, John 6:39 emphasizes that Christ will not lose any of those given to Him, thereby underpinning the certainty of their salvation.
