How do we know that every believer is important in the church?

Answered in 2 sources

Every believer is vital to the church, as each member contributes uniquely to the body’s overall health and function (1 Corinthians 12:21-26).

The importance of every believer in the church is clearly conveyed through the metaphor of the human body that the Apostle Paul uses in 1 Corinthians 12. He explains that no part of the body can claim independence or lack of necessity for the other parts; each has been placed by God according to His will (1 Corinthians 12:18). Furthermore, Paul emphasizes that when one member suffers, all members suffer with it, highlighting that each person’s experience, whether joy or pain, is communal within the body of Christ. This shared experience underscores the value and significance of every believer; each person’s role is crucial for the collective mission and health of the church.
