How do we know that faith in Christ is the victory?

In 1 John 5:4-5, it is clearly stated that 'this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.' This references the transformation that occurs when individuals believe in Christ; their faith is not just a mental ascent but a spiritual gift from God that allows them to see and understand the truth of the gospel. Salvation comes through this divine faith, which establishes a relationship with Christ, the one who has achieved ultimate victory over sin and death. Therefore, for those who are born of God, faith becomes the pivotal force that empowers them to live in freedom and assurance of victory.
