How do we know that faith is a sign of God's presence in us?

In the teaching of 1 John, faith is portrayed as an indispensable evidence of God dwelling within believers. When one truly believes that Jesus is the Son of God, this faith becomes a testimony of God's indwelling presence. The continual confession of faith we see in verse 15 indicates that the life of a believer is characterized by faith in Christ.
