As Paul explains in Romans 8, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus sets us free from the law of sin and death. This means that by believing in Christ’s finished work and actively relying on the Holy Spirit, we can effectively mortify the deeds of the flesh and live in accordance with God's will.
