How do we know that faith must come from the heart?

Scripture teaches that true faith comes from the heart, as it is with the heart that man believes unto righteousness (Romans 10:10).

The heart is central to true saving faith, as it represents the innermost being of a person where genuine belief and trust in Christ reside. Romans 10:10 states, 'For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.' This clearly illustrates that authentic faith is not merely intellectual assent to facts about Jesus but a deep-seated trust and reliance on Him for righteousness and salvation.
