How do we know that false religion is dangerous?

Answered in 1 source

False religion leads people away from the true grace of God and into spiritual deception.

The dangers of false religion are profound, as illustrated in Revelation 17. This 'great whore' seduces individuals, including the powerful and influential, drawing them into spiritual fornication that corrupts their worship and understanding of God. The seductive nature of false religion thrives in subtleties and appeals to the base desires of humanity, often presenting itself in a guise of righteousness while denying the true power of God. Additionally, it promotes self-righteousness and reliance on human effort rather than on the grace provided through Jesus Christ. Without a firm, biblical foundation, believers are at risk of being led astray into this spiritual wilderness where only desolation lies.
