How do we know that fearing God is wise?

Answered in 1 source

Fearing God is wise because it leads to true understanding and guidance from God (Proverbs 2:5-6).

Fearing God is established as wise within the Scriptures due to its role as a pathway to understanding and wisdom. Proverbs 2:5-6 states, 'Then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.' Thus, fearing God aligns our hearts with His truth, granting us insight into His will and purpose for our lives. It is through this fear that we position ourselves to receive righteousness and protection as children of God.
