How do we know that giving is a Christian virtue?

The importance of giving as a Christian virtue is deeply rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. He often highlighted the significance of giving selflessly, as seen when he praised the widow who gave all she had while others contributed from their surplus (Mark 12:41-44).
