How do we know that glorifying God is important for Christians?

The importance of glorifying God stems from our identity as His creation and His redeemed people. As the sermon states, we were created for His glory and, through regeneration, we are enabled to genuinely appreciate and adore Him. When we reflect on what He has done for us in Christ — choosing us, redeeming us, calling us to Himself — it incites a response of gratitude and service that glorifies Him.
