How do we know that God accepts our works?

Answered in 1 source

Our works are accepted by God through our faith in Christ, as He has made us righteous and justified before Him.

God's acceptance of our works is derived from the affirmation in Ecclesiastes 9:7, which specifically mentions that 'God now accepteth thy works.' This verse is not for just anyone; it applies to the righteous, those made righteous through Jesus Christ by faith. Romans 3:10 and Psalm 14 clarify that none are naturally righteous before God. However, through the sovereign grace of God, believers are granted the imputed righteousness of Christ, making their works acceptable. Paul reinforces this by explaining that without Christ, all attempts at righteousness are inadequate (Philippians 3:9). Thus, it is through our identity in Christ that we confidently know our works are accepted before God.
