How do we know that God calls people according to His purpose?

The calling of God is deeply rooted in His eternal purpose, as highlighted in Romans 8:28, which states that all things work together for good to those who are called. In 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Paul explains that God chose believers for salvation and called them through the gospel. This conveys that God's calling is not random but is part of His sovereign plan from the beginning. Those whom God foreknew, or loved before the world began, are the ones He calls effectually, meaning they will respond to His call because of His power and grace.
