How do we know that God calls preachers?

Answered in 1 source

God calls preachers by the Holy Spirit, as seen in the commissioning of Paul and Barnabas in Acts 13.

In Acts 13, we see that the Holy Spirit specifically instructed the church to set apart Paul and Barnabas for the work He had called them to. This divine mandate illustrates that God sovereignly raises up preachers within His church, equipping them for their mission. Everybody in the church is part of this divine work, and preachers are recognized not just by themselves, but by the church as those called and gifted for gospel proclamation.
