How do we know that God can bring hope in despair?

Answered in 1 source

God's Word assures us that even in our darkest times, He is with us and can restore hope.

The testimony of believers throughout Scripture and history demonstrates that God is a source of hope in dire situations. In Psalm 42:11, we see the psalmist reflecting on despair yet encouraging himself to put his hope in God. Similarly, Heather’s journey illustrates how surrendering to Christ brought her peace and hope after a devastating period in her life. God promises to be near the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and assures us that in Him, we can find comfort and strength amidst sorrow, turning our despair into praise as He works in our hearts.
