How do we know that God cares for us amid suffering?

Answered in 1 source

God's care for us is evident through His providence and the redemptive work of Christ.

Job's experience suggests that in times of suffering, God's providence becomes more apparent. Job questioned, 'Dost Thou bring me into judgment with Thee?' highlighting the inherent awareness of God's sovereignty and justice. In the context of suffering, the believer reflects on God's omnipresence and His understanding of our struggles. Psalms such as Psalm 56:8 assure us that God collects our tears and is mindful of our pain. This care is ultimately shown in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, where our sins are forgiven, proving that God remains engaged with His creation.
