How do we know that God comes to us first?

Answered in 1 source

We know God comes to us first because we do not seek Him unless He draws us to Himself by His grace.

The biblical concept that God takes the initiative in our relationship with Him is crucial to understanding salvation. As illustrated in the sermon, it is God who first comes to us, revealing Himself and calling us to Him. Without His initiating grace, we would remain indifferent and unresponsive to His call. This is a reflection of God's love and mercy, demonstrating that if He turns us, we shall be turned, affirming the sovereignty of His action in our spiritual awakening.
