How do we know that God controls all things?

Answered in 3 sources

We know God controls all things through Scripture, which asserts His sovereignty and providence over every aspect of life.

The sovereignty of God is a fundamental doctrine in Reformed theology, reflected in passages such as Ephesians 1:11, which states that God 'works all things according to the counsel of his will.' This means that nothing happens outside of His sovereign plan. Furthermore, Romans 8:28 reassures us that 'God works all things together for good for those who are called according to his purpose.' The assurance of God's control fosters a deep sense of peace and confidence in the believer's heart, allowing us to rest in His perfect will, even in the face of trials and uncertainties. Recognizing God's sovereign hand in all aspects of life leads to a humble acknowledgment that we depend wholly on Him.
