How do we know that God desires our praise?

Answered in 1 source

God's desire for our praise is evident throughout Scripture, particularly in passages that call us to worship Him.

We can recognize God's desire for our praise through numerous biblical affirmations calling for worship. Psalms are filled with exhortations to praise God for His marvelous acts and character. In Psalm 8, David marvels at God's creation and acknowledges His glory, emphasizing the necessity of recognizing and proclaiming God's greatness. Additionally, when Jesus addresses the Pharisees in Matthew 21, He affirms that God has perfected praise from the mouths of children, indicating His delight in genuine praise, particularly from those with humble, trusting hearts. This pattern throughout Scripture indicates that God desires not only our reverent admiration but also the heartfelt expressions of gratitude and honor that come from fully recognizing who He is.
