How do we know that God does not tempt us?

Answered in 1 source

James 1:13 states clearly that God cannot be tempted by evil, and He does not tempt anyone.

In James 1:13, it is explicitly stated that God is unable to be tempted by evil and does not tempt others to sin. This underscores God’s holy nature and the reality that temptation does not come from Him. Any temptation we experience is due to our sinful desires drawing us away from God. This understanding helps us to avoid blaming God for our own failures and places the responsibility squarely on our own inclinations.
