How do we know that God does not tempt us to sin?

Answered in 2 sources

God does not tempt anyone to sin; rather, He allows trials for our growth but does not entice us to wrongdoing.

The Bible clearly states that God does not tempt anyone to sin, as found in James 1:13. Instead, God allows trials and tests for the purpose of refining and strengthening believers' faith. While it may please Him to lead us through difficult situations, He does so not to lead us into sin but to teach us reliance on Him and to prepare us for greater maturity in faith. This understanding allows believers to pray for divine guidance to avoid the snares of temptation and sin.
