How do we know that God gathers His people?

Answered in 2 sources

God's gathering of His people is affirmed through Scripture, such as in Joel 2, where He calls His people to assemble before Him.

The Bible teaches that God is actively involved in gathering His people. In Joel 2:16, the Lord commands to 'gather the people' and 'sanctify the congregation.' The fulfillment of this promise is seen in the New Testament at Pentecost when God gathered thousands of believers together, revealing His desire to form a community of faith. This assembly is not merely a physical gathering but signifies a spiritual uniting of those whom He has called to Himself, demonstrating His power and love for His elect.
