How do we know that God gives and takes away?

In the story of Job, he acknowledges this profound truth when he says, 'The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord' (Job 1:21). This statement reflects a deep theological understanding that both the blessings and trials of life come from God. Rather than seeing suffering as a sign of God's absence, believers learn through Scripture that God is sovereign over both aspects of life.
