How do we know that God gives us peace?

Answered in 2 sources

God provides peace through the reconciliation achieved by Jesus Christ, as detailed in Colossians 1:19-20.

The assurance of peace with God is rooted in the reconciliation made possible through Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:19-20 states, 'For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself.' Our enmity against God due to sin is addressed by Christ's sacrificial death, which appeased God's wrath and established peace. Thus, true peace is not something we can manufacture through our actions; it is a gift from God through faith in Christ, who invites us to approach Him without fear, knowing that we have been made right with God.
