How do we know that God has called us to ministry?

We know we are called to ministry because God initiates and sustains the good work in us, as Paul writes in Philippians.

The assurance of the call to ministry is given in Philippians 1:6, which states that God who began a good work in us will complete it. This means that our presence and participation in ministry are not random occurrences but are guided by God's sovereign will. His working in our lives confirms that He has a purpose for each believer to participate in the ministry, sharing the gospel and the grace of God.
