How do we know that God has qualified us for salvation?

In Colossians 1:12-14, it states that the Father has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. This qualification is not based on our merits or actions but solely on what Christ has accomplished through His death and resurrection. Salvation is a definitive act of God; as outlined in Scripture, we are delivered from the power of darkness and transferred into Christ's kingdom.
