How do we know that God has removed our sins?

Answered in 1 source

God removes the sins of His people by rolling them onto Christ, who bears them away through His sacrifice.

The theological understanding of how God rolls away the reproach, or sin, from His people is rooted in the sacrificial work of Christ. As noted in the sermon, God accomplishes this by imputing the sins of His elect to Christ, who bore them on the cross. This is supported by references in Isaiah and Psalms that indicate Christ took upon Himself the reproaches of men (Psalm 64:6-9). Thus, through His death, Christ satisfied divine justice, ensuring that those who trust in Him are freed from condemnation and the guilt associated with their sins. This act of divine mercy illustrates the depths of God's love and the efficacy of Christ's atoning work, leading to the assurance that God's people are no longer under His wrath but rather accepted in the beloved.
